Air-Pots have unusual profiled walls ( a kind of egg-press configuration ) that consist of cones closed inside and cones open outside. In traditional pots, the flat walls inside the container repel the roots and set off a spiralling process in which the roots elongate without increasing root mass.
Inner cones direct roots outward directly into open cones, where soil air density is too high, roots dehydrate and stop elongating. In response, the plant sends out information causing the roots to extend laterally to compensate for the loss, leading to a denser root system resulting in a potentiated increase in root mass.
The Air-Pot root system also creates better conditions for bacterial activity and thus increases the amount of nutrients for plants. The root system is also very efficient in taking up all available nutrients and water. Vigor and plant health is guaranteed.
